Christmas by
The Thomas Ranch
Christmas for a Cowboy is much different than that of a City Slicker, we receive items such as this Winchester 30 30 and other really cool presents.
Everyone helps open presents around our house the little ones get just as excited as the olders. We all love to share what we have found for one another of the year and see what it is. Keeping it a secret all year long is hard but well worth the expressions.
Being the owners of the Thomas Ranch is a good way to know that there will be a new line of clothing or something that is printed with the Thomas Ranch name and logo on it. It is so much fun to have a new line of shirts or hats under the tree each year.
Like I said making new hats and shirts are great fun for me! Each year it seems I come up with a better logo or design and it just makes it fun. So here is AL inspecting his new set of hats.
Santa Claus is as much of Christmas as Jesus himself as a matter of fact in this new day and age he is probably more important, not that he should be. It is just the way the world is evolving. We at the Thomas Ranch would like to stop and tell everyone that we are religious and believe in God himself. So remember what this holiday is about and not just about Santa Claus.
Blow up displays in our front yard are an important key to show our holiday spirit. We buy a new one each year and just keep adding to our collection. Here is our Polar Bear.
Winnie the Pooh, blow up, sits on his honey pot in the front yard waiting for Christmas to show up.
Al and Russell standing in front of the Oklahoma house after they put up the Christmas lights on Thanksgiving. They were both happy with the outcome of about two hours worth of work.
Christmas dinner is a family affair. It is not up to just the woman to cook. Russell is in the kitchen preparing the pies and the yams. Casey is peeling potatoes and Ashley is looking in on them.
Moving to Oklahoma was a big change for the Anderson’s and making this Snow Cow was a reminder of back home in Arizona. Each year it snows we have vowed to make one.
Turkey is not just for Thanksgiving it is also for Christmas, like it was this year. Next year it will be ham again, hopefully it will be from a wild hog from off of Ft. Sill, Oklahoma. Wish us luck on that.
Each year Casey sets up her nativity scene. This year it was placed above the fireplace. I really need to get busy and create a little table or something that we can create a whole town on and leave it out during the holidays because she is collecting so many pieces.
Here you can see a custom jacket designed by Russell and given to Al for Christmas. This is a one of a kind and will never be made for distribution.
Lights that are put up around the entire house are kept on every night during the holiday season from Thanksgiving to the end of New Years.
