Russell's Candied Jams
Ingredients:
Brown Sugar
1-2 Bags Large Marshmallows
2 Cans Large Yams
Directions:
Empty two cans of large Yams with liquid into a large saucepan. Bring to a boil. Add two large handful of Brown Sugar. Allow time for Brown Sugar to completely melt into yams. Turn heat down to a simmer, add one half handful of Brown Sugar. Let simmer for 10 minutes. Turn off heat. Empty continents into a pan. Allow significant time to cool, approximately 10 minutes. Pre heat oven to 425. Place one full bag of Marshmallow on top of Yams, insert in oven. Watch closely to brown Marshmallows, remove when tops are brown. If you place Marshmallows on while yams are too hot they will melt into Yams, if you leave in the oven and it is not hot enough they will melt into Yams. If Yams are not watched in the oven you may burn the tops of the Marshmallows.
