The September 11, 2001 attack on the United States often referred to as 9-11 had a dramatic impact on the United States as a whole. Al-Qaeda a terrorist organization led by Osama Bin Laden had planned to have 27, only 19 actually participated, of his members carry out a terrorist plot fly planes into several important building across the United States.
The 9/11 attacks had immediate and overwhelming effects upon the United States population. Gratitude toward uniformed public-safety workers (dubbed "first responders"), and especially toward firefighters, was widely expressed in light of both the drama of the risks taken on the scene and the high death toll among the workers. Many Police Officers and rescue workers elsewhere in the country took leaves of absence to travel to New York City to assist in the grim process of recovering bodies from the twisted remnants of the Twin Towers. Blood also saw a surge in the weeks after 9/11.
“On 9/11, our nation saw the face of evil. Yet on that awful day, we also witnessed something distinctly American: ordinary citizens rising to the occasion, and responding with extraordinary acts of courage. We saw courage in office workers who were trapped on the high floors of burning skyscrapers -- and called home so that their last words to their families would be of comfort and love.
We saw courage in passengers aboard Flight 93, who recited the 23rd Psalm -- and then charged the cockpit. And we saw courage in the Pentagon staff who made it out of the flames and smoke -- and ran back in to answer cries for help. On this day, we remember the innocent who lost their lives -- and we pay tribute to those who gave their lives so that others might live.” President George W. Bush.

“We hold certain Truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.” The words of our founding fathers still ring loud and true today. Support these words for “all people”. Take action if necessary to maintain these values.
Patriotism has almost as many faces in America as there are Americans. For some, patriotism means unswerving support and devotion to our flag, our elected officials, our men and women in uniform. For others, patriotism means criticizing politicians when they take America in the wrong direction, protesting in the streets—sometimes even burning the flag. Patriotism also has complex ties to citizenship, race, and nationalism, as well as to the ways in which we remember our wars and the people who fought in them. American Patriotism.
Patriotic e-mails circulated among all Americans. Symbols of American Pride showed up everywhere. Anyone who denounced the United States was put down. The French openly denounced any adverse action towards anyone. Since that day French Fries have been changed into Freedom Fries. The Dixie Chicks denounced our President on foreign land and found out very quickly that the American Cowboy Society doesn’t put up with that. There has not been a single Dixie Chick C.D. on our Ranch as of that day. No there is any forgiveness.
America we know this is a somber day and that it will live on for a long time to come. But we also know that without this attack our Country had grown complacent. Now we are very aware of the dangers that this world now faces. Now we are strong and united. America is strong and proud.
